The rounding features are extensible which allows Bluestreak™ developers to add new rounding algorithms if needed in the future. Currently the ASTM E-29 - 08 specification is supported as well as the Boeing BAC-5650 specification (hardness results only). Two other rounding algorithms based within Microsoft SQL Server are also provided.
With E-29, you can specify the rounding interval (rounded to nearest) and with BAC-5650, the rounding interval is set to the nearest 0.5 Rockwell number.
With this feature, Measured Units (UOM) can be specified in addition to the Reported Units (UOM). This allows you to, for instance, record hardness in one scale and report the hardness in the scale your customer requires. When the results are reported on the certification, the proper syntax will automatically be used - “ConvertedValue UOM (MeasuredValue UOM).”

Statistical Process Control
The Statistical Process Control feature in Bluestreak I SPC™ takes control plan characteristics to the next level. Any control plan characteristic can be configured for SPC. When test results are added, the SPC chart is updated in real-time allowing you to see and be notified at the time of test entry if there are any issues with your process. SPC has extensible support for statistical rules to help you spot trends before your process is out of control. Upper and Lower Control Limits are auto calculated, but you determine when you want to tighten your control limits.
Sampling Plans is a powerful tool that you can "program" to assign the correct number of required work order parts for quality testing based on the received quantity and the specific inspection levels dictated by you or your customer. You can build any number or Sampling Plans using part quantity ranges, percentages or fixed amount. The Sampling Plan is then attached to a Control Plan Characteristic so anytime that control plan characteristic is used (as part of a Control Plan) the required number of test samples is automatically calculated and enforced.
Advanced Control Plans
Advanced Control Plans allows Part-specific control plans to be assigned to each part on a work order, versus having the control plan(s) be related to ALL parts on the work order. This allows the functionality to have different part numbers on the same work order, that are all being processed the same, but each part number could have a different control plan characteristic result range. For example each part number might have a different final hardness due to running mixed alloys on the work order or you need to track the specific test results for each part number.
Converted Units can be combined with Rounding for all of your variable-type control plan characteristics. Additionally, Bluestreak™ always stores all of the detailed quality test result data - Reported (Result), Measured, Converted, Rounded - so there is full transparency of the data for verification of how test values were collected and reported.
Trying to implement the Rounding and Converted units in a manual fashion by training inspectors is very difficult to do and is prone to numerous reporting errors.
