CMMC CERTIFICATION - YOU SHOULD BE PREPARING FOR ASSESSMENTS NOW!

CMMC is still not finalized but you should be preparing right now. NIST SP 800-171 /CMMC Level 2 averages 12 to 18 months to be fully implemented and audit-ready. The CMMC rule will be published as soon as May 2023 which means you should’ve started your CMMC implementation by the end of 2021. If you start implementing now, you could possibly be audit-ready early to late Spring 2024. If you currently have DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements on contracts and you handle CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) in any way, it’s likely you’ll need to be compliant at a CMMC Level 2. CHECK YOUR EXISTING CONTRACTS.

Start implementing NIST SP 800-171 NOW to help you get to CMMC audit-ready. CMMC is directly related to NIST SP 800-171 so the sooner you’re compliant, the lower the risk of losing contracts and future business. CMMC requirements will start showing up on contracts starting in July 2023.

CMMC certification is required even if you’re ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR Registered, or NADCAP Accredited. If you’re NIST SP 800-171 compliant already, you will still need to be CMMC certified. This is a big misconception among small to mid-sized businesses.

Call me to have a discovery call and to schedule a baseline security assessment of your systems and network. I’m here to help you become NIST 800-171 compliant and to help you become CMMC audit ready. Let’s get to work.

About Bluestreak™:

Bluestreak™ is a powerful, fully integrated Quality Management System (QMS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES), designed for the manufacturing environment and service-based manufacturing companies (metal-treating/powder-coating, plating, heat-treating, forging, and metal-finishing), businesses that receive customers’ parts, perform a process (service) on them, and send those parts back to the customer). Companies need MES software tailored to specific functionality and workflow needs such as industry-specific specifications management, intuitive scheduling control for both staff and machinery maintenance, and the ability to manage work orders and track real-time data. If different work centers on the production floor aren’t “speaking” to each other via the MES, the data loses value and becomes disjointed or lost in disparate silos.

Bluestreak | Bright AM™ is an MES + QMS software solution specifically designed to manage and optimize the unique requirements of Additive Manufacturing’s production of parts and powder inventory usage.
